The picture to left was taken at Vieques Puerto Rico. This beach was part of the US Navy practice area.The one fact most folks know about Vieques if they know even one is that the U.S. Navy used it for target practice. But the real fact is that only the tiny, easternmost tip of the island was...Nature reserve. Located at the far western end of Puerto Rico, this narrow beach gets high ratings for scuba diving or snorkeling the offshore reef in 10 to 30 feet of water, which features sloping valleys and huge coral.
